Kathā, the words which can condition less attachment

[Nina] When we are thinking of concept it is not always wrong view, but we should remember that they are there all the time.

[A. Sujin] it doesn't matter because there is the understanding that it's gone completely. That which is gone cannot be known, just about what is there now, beginning to let go of the past and not worrying about the future, and know that what is there can be directly understood, little by little, but not by anyone, but by the development of right understanding of the truth, that is not there at all. Even it's now appearing, it's not there, it just arises and falls away in succession. Seems like it's always there, but when the truth is there, revealing itself, showing up as it is, from when it's so coarse and then more and more subtle, to be known as what is there. For example attachment, who knows? Otherwise, without understanding, how can there be no more attachment? But it's there as long as ignorance is there. So natural, just like now, hearing considering understanding and no more. Each one, gone, the next one is the reality at that very moment and then gone.

So, don't worry about the past or the future, just now. Even they arise by conditions, arising and falling away in succession, but one reality can be known, little by little. So, it's not one life time task, it's more than that. And when this develop enough, when there is hearing again, there can be conditions to understand a little more, little by little. And at moment of understanding it lets go itself, no need for anyone to do anything at all, otherwise there must be the idea of I all the time. So, the way to let go, in order to understand what is there even right now and this moment ahead and on and on must be conditioned by each different accumulation, of each person. To realize the truth that what is there is no self is to understand the conditions for that arising which is the accumulation of each moment, not just now but many many eons ago and including now and on and on, all are conditions for the next one. And right understanding can understand whatever is there, when strong enough because it cannot be the same as just right now. What is there at moment of enlightenment hasn't come yet but pañña is ready to understand no matter what, no selection, no choice.

So it depends on how much understanding of what is there now, little by little, to be ready to understand what is there to come, by conditions. No expectation, beyond expectation, who knows? But what is there now? Conditioned by the accumulation from each life. Gone, everything. It doesn't matter at all because only what is there can be studied. That's why no need to have regret about not having sati or understanding of such and such because they are all gone. Begin again, begin again, by conditions, and the development begins, no one begins. And this is the kathā, which can let go of the clinging and wrong understanding of self or something, to understand the truth, vīriya kathā and so on, which means less and less attachment. Kathā are the words which can condition less attachment, little by little, to what is there, when it's studied carefully, just right now, no one.
